William "Bill" Robert Daugherty

William Robert “Bill” Daugherty, aged 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by his family. A native of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, Bill devoted his career to the L&N Railroad before his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah Daugherty; his parents, Robert L. and Mary G. Daugherty; and his siblings, Doris Kendall and John Daugherty.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his children: Karen Michelle Crenshaw and her husband Jason of Mt. Washington; William Joseph Daugherty and his wife Sherry of Shepherdsville; and Robert Brian Daugherty of Shepherdsville. He is also survived by his siblings Ronald Daugherty of Louisville and Harold Daugherty of Bowling Green, Kentucky. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren Danielle, Jordyn, Sarah, Abbi, Hunter, Jason, Luke, Greg, and Savannah, along with seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
