Virginia “Pinky” Bessie Ing, 72 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Norton Healthcare Pavilion, with her family by her side.
Pinky was a Christian by faith and a member of Hillview Assembly of God, where she was heavily involved in the children’s church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. She loved to cook for her family and friends, and was always looking to help someone in need with a care package or a cobbler.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Anna Martin; her sister, Stephanie Carter; her grandson, Nathan Ing.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 52 years, Paul E. Ing, Sr.; her children, Paul E. Ing Jr. (Missy), Chico Ing (Danielle), Shane Ing (Susan), and Heather Salgado (Reinel); her siblings, Russell Martin Jr., Valeria Martin, Willie Martin, and Paul Martin; her grandchildren, Alexis, Stephanie, Johanna, Lyric, Brandon, Iana, Marissa, Maile, Dylan, Ashlyn, Cameron, Jocelin, Wade, and Leland.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillview Assembly of God, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Eden Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
