Tomoe Rhodes passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on October 17, 1936, Tomoe lived a life centered on love, generosity, and deep devotion to her family. Tomoe was a loving homemaker, and she gave herself fully to creating a home filled with comfort, welcome, and care. Gardening was her passion, and she found joy in flowers, food, and hosting family gatherings. Those who knew her will remember the happiness she took in bringing people together, the beauty she cultivated around her, and the generous spirit she shared so freely. She was loving, kind, and devoted to her family, and her life was a quiet but lasting example of grace and gratitude.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly Callis and her spouse, Scott; her son Donald Rhodes and his spouse Becky; her brothers Rumio Takagi, Georgie Takagi, and Ubo Takagi; and her grandchildren Michael Clark, Chris Rhodes, David Rhodes, John Rhodes, and numerous great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many cherished memories in the lives of those who were blessed to know and love her.

Tomoe was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Rhodes, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage; her mother and father, her sister, Sachie Takagi; and her grandchildren Bryan Clark and Jeremy Clark. Their memories remained an important part of her life and of the family she loved so dearly.

Tomoe Rhodes will be remembered for her generous heart, her loving nature, and the joy she found in caring for others. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the gatherings she made special, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
