Tara Lynn Barnes

Tara Lynn Barnes, 39, of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 26, 2025.

Tara was a beloved member of her community, known for her dedication and hard work as a waitress in several local restaurants. A proud member of the Fairdale Baptist Church, she was a lifelong resident of Louisville, Kentucky, and cherished her roots in the area.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Aaliyah Curtsinger and Joseph Dallas Barnes; her mother and stepfather, Diana and Thomas Weaver; her father and her step mother, William and Linda Russell; her brothers, Nathan Russell of Louisville and Jamie Russell of Minnesota; and her grandfather, Harry Throop of Louisville.

A funeral service celebrating Tara’s life will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Veatch officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 2 to 6 PM prior to the service.
