Sherrell Lee Adams

September 14, 1935 — August 14, 2025

Shepherdsville

Sherrell Lee Adams, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at Norton Audubon Hospital, just a month shy of her 90th birthday. She was born on September 14, 1935, in Paoli, Indiana, and was a steadfast pillar in the lives of all who knew her.

A graduate who earned her Bachelor's degree, Sherrell dedicated over two decades of her life to the manufacturing sector at Southern Standard Cartons, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

In addition to her successful career, Sherrell had a vibrant personality that shone through in all aspects of her life. She had a deep passion for dance and sought knowledge in beautification, lovingly cutting and styling the hair of her friends and family. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, often enjoying a nice glass of wine while recounting stories and sharing laughter. A Quaker by faith, Sherrell was an active member of the Souls United Church of Louisville, where she found community and connection.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, forever remembered by her daughters, Rita Holland and her husband Bobby, and Annick Mosier and her husband Danny. Her brother, Michael Webster, and sister-in-law Debbie Balder (David), will also carry her memory forward along with her grandchildren, Josh Mosier, Jessica Parker, Christopher Mabry (Amanda), Kenneth Mabry (Denise) and James Marbry; great-grandchildren Sean Michael Lynd, Justice and Jasmine, Dustin, Joslyn, Kayce, and Kaitlyn. In addition, she is survived by multiple great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Lynn Ann Rutherford (Scott), Gayla Murphy (Terry), Tim Satterly, Kim Aitkin, and Lisa Satterly who added joy to her later years.

Sherrell was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Kenneth Adams, her daughter Sharon Kail, her sister Betty Cadle, and her great-grandchild, Kirstin.

A visitation honoring Sherrell's life will be held on August 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service officiated by Bro. Terry Murphy at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, KY. The service will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together and celebrate the remarkable woman Sherrell Lee Adams was.

Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
