Sharron Jean Robinson was born on September 9, 1943, in Glasgow, Kentucky. She passed away on June 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and a joyful embrace of life that touched all who knew her.
Sharron dedicated her life to serving others, approaching each role with heartfelt commitment and compassion. Her professional journey was as varied as it was inspiring—she wore many hats, including city clerk for Shepherdsville, an EMT for EMS, and as a licensed cosmetologist. Ultimately, Sharron found her calling in nursing, returning to school later in life to obtain her nursing degree and retiring from a rewarding career at UofL Hospital. Her work was always underscored by her natural inclination to help others and her devotion to community.
Sharron’s personal and family life were vibrant and filled with treasured memories. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Deborah Robinson; son, Perry Todd Robinson; beloved siblings Billie Sue Waters, Faye Fawson, and Jackie Seago; grandchildren Mystee Robinson, Danielle Bustel and Dakota Robinson; along with her great-granddaughter Rylee Bustel. She was preceded in death by her spouse Delray Robinson; parents William Robert Bacon, and Anna Elizabeth Abner, along with her sister Frances Smith. When Mystee was a baby, she couldn't say "granny" all she could say was "GreGre." The strength of these bonds and the warmth she imparted will live on in each person who loved her.
A woman of great spirit, Sharron’s personality radiated joy and generosity. She was selfless, always taking time to delight in the small beauties of life—pausing to gaze at clouds or cherishing the laughter and togetherness of family trips to the beach. Her outgoing nature was legendary: she was once crowned “Possum Queen of Pikeville,” joyfully representing her title as she paraded through town atop her outhouse throne float, much to the delight of the community around her.
Sharron believed in nurturing not only others but also herself through interests and hobbies. She was a proud member of the Star of Hope Eastern Star and was active in her Methodist faith. Moments of leisure often found her fishing for rainbow trout, enjoying late-night poker games, crafting, or reading her favorite romance and crime novels. She also loved relaxing with romantic comedies and crime movies, finding simple pleasures in all corners of life.
Those who knew Sharron will remember her as a beacon of warmth, humor, and resilience—an example of a life lived in service, enjoyment, and love. Her presence, stories, and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends. When Mystee was a baby, she couldn't say "granny" all she could say was "GreGre."
A Graveside Service will be held in her honor at Cedar Grove Cemetery, located at 187 Deatsville Road, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
