Sarah Fay Tatum, 84 of Boston passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.
She was a Baptist by faith and a member of Bardstown Junction Baptist Church. Fay was devout in her faith, she read her bible daily and loved sharing the gospel. Fay retired from Cintas. She was an amazing cook and hostess. She loved hosting her large family, sharing a meal, laughs, and love. Fay was a true pillar of the family, always present and supportive, her guidance will forever remain treasured.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Tatum; her son Steven Tatum; parents Clarence and Pansy Phillips; her siblings Barbara, Delores, Kathleen, Agnes, Elizabeth, and Irvin; along with her grandchildren Kathryn Michelle Tatum, Jason Tatum, Shauna Richardson, Victoria Niki Richardson.
Fay is survived by her children Trina Smith (Freddie), Sammy Wayne Tatum (Shelia), Charles Michael Tatum (Karen), Debra Myers, Janet Dailey (Allen), and Linda Vittitoe (Tommy); her siblings Joyce Maulden (Skip), and Eva Vanvactor (Larry); 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; along with several other family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Harrison officiating. Burial will follow Vine Hill Cemetery.
Visitations will be Monday 1-8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
