Ronald "Ronnie" Kenneth Gore, born August 26, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on July 20, 2026. The news of Ronnie’s passing is met with deep sadness by his family and all who knew him.

Ronnie was a proud son of Louisville, where he grew up and shaped a life marked by perseverance, kindness, and a deep devotion to those he loved. He earned his GED, a milestone that was a testament to his determination and commitment to self-improvement. Though Ronnie faced the challenges of living with a disability, he navigated life with courage and a positive outlook. He never allowed adversity to define him, instead choosing to focus on growth and giving back.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Ronnie’s love for basketball—especially for the Kentucky Wildcats—was well known to those around him. Game days were sacred, and celebrating each thrilling moment brought him great joy. Music played a significant part in Ronnie’s days, and the classic rock anthems of The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd were the soundtrack to countless cherished memories.

Ronnie was open about his journey and milestones in Alcoholics Anonymous, facing each struggle with honesty, humility, and a determined spirit. He was proud of the progress he made, never giving up, always seeking a better path forward.

His dedication to helping others extended beyond his family circle. Together with his dear friend Amy Ames, Ronnie devoted time and energy to building up the South End Street Angels program, embodying compassion and service as he worked to improve the lives of others in his community.

Above all, Ronnie cherished family. He took tremendous pride in his role as a father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving daughters Jessica Jones and Tiffany Hooten; his sons-in-law Tony Carderara and Kyle Hooten; his adored sister Sharon Hornback and Brenda James; and his cherished grandchildren, Dylan Carderara, Logyn Carderara, Austin, Weston, Kingston, and Oakley Carderara. His close friendship with Amy Ames was a source of strength and joy.

Ronnie is now reunited with his beloved wife, Dina Curry Gore, whose memory he held dear. He is also preceded in death by his father, Richard Gore; his mother, Alberta Ball; and his brothers-in-law, Butch Hornback and Emmett James.

The outpouring of remembrance from friends and family is a testament to the kindness and impact Ronnie brought into the world—a legacy of resilience, loyalty, and genuine love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation for Ronald "Ronnie" Kenneth Gore will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, 605 Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same location.

Ronnie’s warmth, humor, and indomitable spirit will remain in the hearts of all who were privileged to call him family and friend.
