Roger Glen Cunningham, born on June 30, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on February 6, 2026, at Audubon Hospital. Known for his dedication and strength, Roger made his mark as a devoted truck driver and was deeply respected within the industry.
Roger's life was filled with fulfillment not just in his career but also through the love he extended to his family and community. He was a proud foster parent and a committed Christian, finding joy in making a difference in the lives of others. His passion for the outdoors often found him fishing or engaging in various outdoor activities, where he felt most at peace. Music was also a significant part of his life; he enjoyed playing the guitar, sharing melodies and moments with family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, GayTona Cunningham, and his children: Tiffany Maurmeier, who is married to Larry; Porsha Thompson, who is married to Alan; and Franklin Cunningham. Roger also leaves behind his sister, Wilma Coomer, and his brother, Scotty Cunningham.
Roger's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Kaydence Watkins, Tyler Maurmeier, Jordan Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Jazlyn Thompson, Kayla Thompson, Caitlin Thompson, Colton Thompson, and Jayla Thompson, as well as his great-grandchild, Jasper Thompson. Though they have lost a beloved figure in their lives, the memories of Roger's love, laughter, and guidance will remain with them always.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation services, which will be held at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Visitation will take place on February 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on February 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM on the same day.
Roger Glen Cunningham will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
