Robert Odell Hodge, born December 22, 1965, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in Shepherdsville. He was a man defined by his fiercely independent spirit and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Known for his talent and passion for tinkering, Robert had an exceptional gift for fixing things and bringing them back to life, a testament to his resourceful mind and patient hands.
While he was often bossy and preferred to have things his way, those who knew Robert understood that beneath this determined exterior lay a heart willing to do anything for anyone. His generosity and strength of character touched the lives of many. One of his greatest joys was riding his motorcycle, a personal freedom that brought him solace and happiness.
Robert will be deeply missed by his beloved children, Holly Carter, Christopher Hodge, and Rachael Morris, who carry forward his legacy. He also leaves behind his cherished sister Tina Thomas (Marvin Tuell) and his adored grandchildren Raelynn Underwood, Arthur Underwood, Christopher Hodge II, and Ellemaye Hodge, whose lives he enriched immeasurably. His nieces, Stacy and Dakota Thomas, also additional family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorkis and Robert Elmer Hodge, whose memory lives on in his heart, and by his sister Carolyn Sue Hodge.
Robert Odell Hodge’s life was one of determination, loyalty, and love—a testament to the enduring impact of a man who lived with intention, cared deeply, and never shied away from the challenges life presented. His memory will remain a guiding force for all who had the privilege to know him.
