He was a Methodist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Greenwell; his parents Gatton and Lonnie Greenwell.
Robert is survived by his children Dale and Barry Greenwell (Terri) both of Louisville; along with a grandson Cody Greenwell of Louisville.
Visitation will be Sunday from 10 a.m. 2 p.m.
