Richard Dewayne Kays

Richard Dewayne Kays, 75 passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at University of Louisville Hospital.

 He was a retired truck driver with the Jefferson County Road Department, a Pentecostal by faith and was born in Louisville Kentucky on October 2, 1949.

 He was preceded in death by his wife Mary L. Kays, his parents Richard John and Catherine Louise Kays and a sister Jean Smith.

 He is survived by his children Chris Kays and his wife Leslie of Mt. Washington and Crystal Kays Warfield and her husband Michael of Bardstown, his siblings James Clarence Kays of Fairdale, Lois Vaughn of Shepherdsville, Joan Stettenbenz of Brandenburg, Mary Jane “Susie” Gunther of Laconia, IN and Cathy Gibson of New Albany, IN 7 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

 Funeral Service will be 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Deckard officiating. 

Visitation will be Saturday from 3:30 till time of Service at the funeral home.
