Raymond “Ray” Braden 79 of Louisville passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 with his family by his side.
Ray was a Christian by faith and a member of Evangel World Prayer Center since 2000. He retired from Greyhound in 2004 then worked for Miller Transportation for 15 years. He was a proud Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Quincy Braden and Ida Mae Nowlin; his siblings Andrew Jackson Braden, Dana Jean Braden, Cora Braden, Seppie Braden, John Quincy Braden Jr. and Bobby Braden.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, of 57 years, Alice Braden; his children Don Braden (Liz) of South Orange, NJ, Sharon Braden-Francois (Richard) of West Palm Beach, FL and Nia Johnson (Quinton) Indianapolis, IN; his brother William Frank Braden (Ruth) of Cincinnati, OH; his grandchildren Manuel, Sydney, Joshua, Joseph and Nicole; along with a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Evangel World Prayer Center 6900 Billtown Rd. Louisville, KY 40299 with Pastor Bob Rogers and Pastor Kevin McKnight officiating. Burial will follow in Crosswater Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 10:00 am until the time of service at Evangel World Prayer Center.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to Evangel or the family.
