Nellie Mae Hines

Nellie Mae Hines, 88 of Shepherdsville, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her home with family at her side.
Nellie was a true servant to her faith and love of Jesus. Her last words were to “let everybody know about Jesus,” everybody she knew, “all the little children, everyone.” She was loved by her community, her church, and especially her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hines, and her sons, Norman Jr. and Tim.
She was a loving and devoted mother of 10; Charlotte (Steve), Richard (Pam), Sheryl, Connie (Larry), Pat, Danny (Deby), Debbie and Roger; along with 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren that will carry on her goodness, her strength, and her love.
A glowing light has burned out on earth but look to the sky for a star that burns brighter than the rest.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Harrison officiating. A burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The visitation will be Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
