Michael "Tony" Anthony Cason

Michael “Tony” Anthony Cason, born July 3, 1957, passed away on September 12, 2026.

Michael will be remembered for the love he carried for his family, especially his children, who were at the center of his life. He enjoyed cigars and valued the simple pleasures of time shared and bonds kept close. Those who knew him will also remember the pride he took in the honors and organizations that were meaningful to him, including being a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the American Legion.

He spent many years behind the wheel, making his living as a truck driver. Trucking was more than simply a job; it was a way of life that required dedication, long hours, and a strong sense of responsibility. He took pride in the work he did and in the miles he traveled throughout his career. Tony also served his country with honor in the United States Army as a PFC from January 5, 1977, to December 9, 1980. His military service was an important part of his life and reflected his commitment and sense of duty.

Tony is survived by his children, Derek Cason, Dillon Cason, and Danielle Cason. He is also survived by Theresa Cason, the mother of his children, his sister Paula Leugers, and his cousin Elaine Conradi, who was like a sister to him. He leaves behind family members and loved ones who will carry his memory forward with affection and gratitude for the time they shared with him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Cason, and his mother, Vera Wollersheim.

Michael “Tony” Anthony Cason will be remembered with love, respect, and appreciation for the life he lived and the family he cherished. Throughout his life, he was a hardworking and dependable man who took pride in providing for his family and those around him. He believed in working hard, doing things the right way, and making the most of the life he was given.

Services will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North at a later date.
