Meldon "Little Hawk" Cordell Hawkins

Meldon “Little Hawk” Cordell Hawkins, 70 of Shepherdsville passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his home.
He was a Baptist by faith, and a member of South Jefferson Baptist Church. He retired from Flynn Bros. Trucking. Meldon proudly served his country while in the United States Navy. He was a Mason and a member of Miles Lodge #341. He enjoyed long scenic routes on his motorcycle and laid-back travels along the path atop a mule. Meldon was always a willing dance partner and open to a good time. He was a supportive Dad and playful Grandpa; his spark will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde, Sr. and Mary Hawkins.
Meldon is survived by his son Enos “Cory” Hawkins of Shepherdsville; siblings Clydes “Fielden” Hawkins of Lawrenceburg, and Deborah Thornton and her husband Tony of Shepherdsville; his grandson Ethan Hawkins; along with additional family members and friends.
The family has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services. Meldon’s family will be hosting a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at West Point Baptist Church- 103 N. 8th Street West Point, KY. Guest are welcome to share their favorite story or memories in celebration of a life well lived.
