Marvin Melvin Marciel, a cherished figure in his community and a dedicated family man,
passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, at the age of 92.
Born on May 24,1933, his life was characterized by his adventurous spirit and his unwavering
commitment to the people and businesses he loved.
As the proud owner of the Kimball Ave. 7-Eleven in San Ramon, Ca for an impressive 33
years, Marvin not only contributed significantly to the local economy but also became a
beloved figure among customers and colleagues alike. His efforts were not limited to one
location, as he also owned a second franchise in Alamo, Ca demonstrating his loyalty and
dedication to the 7-Eleven brand. Marvin’s leadership skills shone through during his time as
Chairman of the 7-Eleven Franchise Owners, where he inspired many through his vision and
drive.
Beyond his professional achievements, Marvin was an avid doughnut lover, and daily
customer at Johnny's Donuts, of Dublin Ca, along with felow long time local friends, earning
him a unique reputation among friends and family for his love of sweets. His outgoing and
social personality allowed him to forge lasting relationships throughout his life, and he was
known for always bringing joy and laughter to those around him.
An avid collector, Marvin had a particular passion for boats and all things nautical, which
reflected his adventurous spirit. He recently moved to the area from San Ramon, California,
where he enjoyed time with family and continued to make memories.
Marvin proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, showcasing his dedication
and commitment to service.
He is survived by his beloved children, Matthew J. Marciel (Ruby Ann) and Michelle M.
Matheis (Jamie), along with his cherished grandchildren, Klayton R. Bryson, Kali S. Ludwick,
Ethan A. Marciel, and Eli C. Marciel. Marvin's family was central to his life, and he took great
pride in supporting and nurturing the next generation.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Evangeline Costa and Manuel Marciel, as well as
his brother, Melvin Marciel. They will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew
and loved him.
His legacy of joy, compassion, and community service will continue to inspire all who had the
honor of knowing him. Marvin Melvin Marciel will be deeply missed, but his spirit will
undoubtedly live on through the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
