Marion Vernon “Fuzzy” Fox, 81 of Shepherdsville passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at Jewish Hospital with his family by his side.
Fuzzy retired from Bernheim Forest where he served as a mechanic and general groundskeeper. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting, and mushrooming. A country boy through and through, he worked long hard days on the farm, his grit was second to none. He was a mechanic, and was a jack of all trades, there wasn’t anything Fuzzy couldn’t fix. He enjoyed getting a rise out of others, he definitely poked the bear, but he joked out of love never spite. Fuzzy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he provided their every need, he was a mentor, upstanding character, and dependable. He always made time to listen and be present. He knew time spent with family was sacred. His legacy will continue for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Estelle Fox, brother James Fox, and sister Shirley Hodge.
Fuzzy is survived by loving his wife of 63 years, Linda Fox; his son Vernon Fox and his wife Tina of Shepherdsville; sister Betty Ryan of Lebanon Junction, grandchildren Donovan Hardison (Kym), William Fox (Kailey), and Caitlin Fox (Bones); great-grandchildren Kearin, Riley, Atlas, and Colson; along with additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bobbi Sue Robb officiating. Burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
