Malcolm Bryant Payton, 89 of Shepherdsville passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Baptist Health Hospital with his family by his side.
He was a former member of South Jefferson Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran and a Purple Heart Recipient serving in the Vietnam War. Malcolm was also a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Hallie Payton; along with 5 deceased siblings.
Malcolm is survived by his loving wife Marilyn Payton; his children Steve Payton (Denise), Bradley Payton, Marsha Pryor, Donna Hunt (Tony), Pam Carey, Angie Drescher (Scott) and Scott Hall; his siblings Doug Payton (Beulah) and Jackie Richardson; his grandchildren Amy Thompson (Tim), Stephanie Brooks (Joshua), Madelon Payton, David Greenwood and Anthony Payton; his great grandchildren Noah Hough, Joshua Greenwood and Liam Brooks; his caregiver Michelle Carey; along with many step grandchildren that he loved dearly.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2019 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
Visitations will be Sunday 3-8 p.m. and Monday 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
