Leona Mae Wells

Leona Mae Wells, 82 of Hillview returned to her heavenly father Monday, July 3, 2017 with her family by her side.
She was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. “Death leaves a heart ache no one can heal: Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
She is preceded in death by her parents John P. Shelton and Gladys Eddington Shelton; her children Timothy Richards and Debbie K. Richardson; along with a brother Junior Shelton.
Leona is survived by her loving children James S. Richards of Port Richey, FL and Susie Lawson (Doug) of Louisville; her siblings Billy Shelton of Bardstown, Clifford Shelton (Joan) of Bardstown, Kenny Shelton, Jean Pearl (Jay) of Bullitt County and Dale Higbee of Louisville; along with her grandchildren Tim Richards, Doug McCoy, Ashley McDaniel, Micah Humpich and Preston Richards; and 9 great grandchildren; lifelong friends Amos and Edna Ashbaugh and children.
Funeral Service will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday 2-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
