Kenneth Wayne Underwood

Kenneth Wayne Underwood, born January 4, 1957, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. He leaves behind a legacy marked by love, devotion, and a lifelong commitment to his family.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia Underwood, his parents Amanda and Robert Underwood, Sr., his sister Barbara Underwood, and his brother Harold Dobson. Their memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his cherished daughters Ashley Lopez, Brittany Underwood (Kimberly Phillips), Amanda Underwood, and Jennifer Lopez (Francisco). Kenneth took great pride in his role as a father and was a constant source of support and encouragement to each of his daughters. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister Debbie Meeks and his brother Robert Underwood (Angela).

Family was the cornerstone of Kenneth’s life, and he was a proud grandfather to 23 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 2 great-grandchildren. His presence brought joy and warmth to countless family gatherings, where his stories and laughter will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Kenneth’s life was a testament to the values of kindness and strength. Those fortunate enough to know him will remember his unwavering dedication to his family and friends, and his gentle spirit that touched many lives.

His family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life and the many memories shared. Though he is no longer with us, Kenneth Wayne Underwood’s impact and love will endure through generations to come.

His funeral will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday April 14 2026 at Maraman-Billings Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
