Julie Ann McGuire 59, of Shepherdsville passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at Hospice Care Center in Louisville.
Julie was the owner/operator of a cleaning business. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping trips, and fishing. Julie and her husband Randall, frequented Panama City, the beach was one of their favorite destinations. She liked shopping antique stores and yard sales and having lunch outings with her girlfriends. She was an avid University of Kentucky fan. Julie was characteristically independent, self-minded, and strong willed. She was a strong woman, resilient, proud, and unbothered by what others said or thought. Julie was petite in stature but mighty in life.
She was preceded in death by her husband Randall McGuire, her parents James and Marilyn Myers, and her sister-in-law Linda Gaus. Linda was dear to Julie; they shared a special bond. Linda acted as her caregiver until she was no longer able.
Julie is survived by her sister Lori Hawkins and her husband Jeff of Brooks; aunt Anne Myers; sister-in-law Sarah Anderson, brother-in-law Junie Gaus; nieces and nephews Jama Adams (Andrew) Jeff, Shannon, Michelle, and Kenny Hovis; cousins Mark Myers, Debbie Madden and Ranni Dillard; great nieces and nephews Sophia Rain and Lucille May Adams; her friend Peggy Rodgers; her beloved canine companion Lilly; along with additional family members and friends.
The family has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services.
