Judith "Judy" Elliott

Judy Ratliff Elliott age 85 of Bardstown returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 23, 2025, with her loving friends by her side. Judy was born February 28, 1940, in Bullitt County to the late G.D. and Ruby Ratliff.

She was a member of Cedar Grove Methodist Church, where she and her husband Frank were very active and organized what became the "kids Club". They did missionary work in Belize, as well as the St. Joseph Indian School in South Dakota. Helping kids was paramount with Judy. 

She taught elementary school in Bullitt County for 30 years and was a member of KTRS.

Judy was a strong advocate for public education and touched so many children's lives. 

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband and best friend Frank; sister Shelby (Chester) Allen; and a special niece Bobby Baker.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, nephews Gussy (Tina), Sam (Mary) Allen and niece Shelia. Great nephews Sammy Allen; Josh (Crystal) and Adley Allen. 

Her extended family includes Jerry Hardin, Brent Long, Karen Douglas, Tina Fox and Jimmy and Glenna (Spratt) Hatfield. 

Funeral services will be conducted by Jimmy Hatfield at Maraman Billings Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2025, beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will take place at Maraman Billings Funeral Home Wednesday, May 28, 2025, 2-6 pm and on Thursday 9 am until time of time of service.
