Joyce Young

Joyce Young, 74, peacefully passed away on February 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Signature Colonial in Bardstown, Kentucky.

Born on January 31, 1952, Joyce was the cherished daughter of Henry and Leona Dawson Tinnell. A devoted member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, she found joy in her family and enjoyed creative pursuits, including sewing, painting, and various arts and crafts.

Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Young, her parents, Henry and Leona Tinnell, her brother, James Tinnell, and her great-grandchild, Kaylin Kaiser.

She leaves behind a loving legacy through her children: Matt Young (Lori) of Shepherdsville, Tony Young (Kari) of Mt. Washington, and Sherri Lynn Constant (Richard) of Shepherdsville. Joyce is also survived by her siblings: Jack Tinnell, Henry Tinnell, Jr., Lois Taylor, Tim Tinnell, and Richard Tinnell, as well as her grandchildren: Faith, Adam, Trey, Cassie, Chris, and Tori, and her great-grandchildren: Chloe, Aleah, Addy, Lylah, Kyndall, Parker, Jada, Macy, Mason, and Mariah.

A funeral service to honor Joyce’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Pastor Kerri McFarland officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
