Jerry Crump, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, passed away at his home on April 10, 2026. Born on December 21, 1953, in Clermont, Kentucky, Jerry's life was a testament to dedication, love, and resilience.
Jerry served honorably in the U.S. Army, demonstrating commitment and courage that carried through all aspects of his life. Following his military service, he embarked on a varied career path that included working as a Bullitt County jailer and later at Amerisource Bergen. He retired from Interlake, where he specialized in manufacturing conveyors and operating a forklift, showcasing his industrious nature and strong work ethic.
A man of hearty laughter and spirited humor, Jerry was well known for his great sense of humor and his unwavering loyalty as an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan. Beyond his professional and athletic passions, he found immense joy in fishing, hunting, and cherishing quality time with his siblings and grandchildren.
Jerry’s faith as a Baptist was a cornerstone in his life, providing strength and guidance throughout his journey. Above all, his most cherished role was that of a loving husband to his wife Judy Crump, whom he cared for with fierce devotion and endless love.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Judy Crump; daughters Kimberly Perkins and her husband Tom, and Jessica Myers and her husband Jameson; sons Kevin Bryant and Jerry “Lee” Crump; brothers Roger Crump and Harold Crump; sister Becky Bentley; grandchildren Brandon, Brianna, Madison, Dylan, and Ethan; and great-grandchildren Bryson and Callianna.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beatrice Crump, and sisters Martha Collins and Lina Arbuckle. Their memory remains a treasured part of his legacy.
Friends and family are invited to honor Jerry’s life and legacy at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, located at 605 South Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on April 20, 2026, and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on April 21, 2026. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Jerry will then be laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 187 Deatsville Road, Shepherdsville, KY.
Jerry Crump’s life leaves an indelible impact on all who knew him—a man of humor, commitment, and unwavering love. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and community. May he rest in peace.
