Floyd “Butch” Rockwell Jones, Jr., 80 of Louisville passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at his daughter’s home with his family by his side.
Butch was a Baptist by faith, he attended services at Okolona General Baptist Church. His relationship with the Lord was strong, his faith was steadfast. He loved to praise and share the word of God. Butch proudly served in the United States Army. He was a retired commercial truck driver; his travels led him throughout the US. His favorite destination after a long haul, was home in the arms of his welcoming family. He loved spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ann Jones, his parents Mary and Floyd Jones, Sr., along with his siblings Rosemary Griffin, James Varble, and Frankie Jones.
Butch is survived by his wife Vada Jones; children Carolyn Basham of Jeffersonville, Vicky Meyer (Ashley) of Louisville, William Jones of Jeffersonville, and Floyd R. Jones, III (Tammy) of Bowling Green; his brother Herb Gerber of Jeffersonville; along with his beloved grandchildren Shannon Allen and Timothy Jones.
Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
