David Lee Mudd

David Lee Mudd, a beloved husband, father, and friend, peacefully passed away at his home on December 11, 2025. He was born on August 17, 1948, in Buechel, Kentucky. David led a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and a love for the simple pleasures that brought him joy.

For 26 years, David worked as a Maintenance Man at Colgate Palmolive, where he was respected for his work ethic and commitment to his duties. His education included earning a GED and certification in maintenance. David also served his country honorably as an E5 in the Army.

An avid car lover, David had a particular fondness for Ford Falcons and often spent his weekends indulging in his passion for cars. He found joy in fishing, watching wildlife on his property, and was known for his appreciation for classic country music, often reminiscing about the timeless tunes that accompanied his life's many journeys.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Marilyn Mudd; his cherished children, Derek Mudd and his spouse, Christopher Krejci, and Brett Mudd; his brother James Mudd; and his beloved cat, Rascal. David's legacy will live on through these family members who will carry his memory in their hearts.

David was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Mudd Robbins, parents James and Lydia Mudd and several sisters, Connie Hambleton, Mary "Bo" Weger, and Betty Samuels. Their absence is felt deeply, but they are remembered with love as David rejoins them.

Visitation services will be held at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, on Tuesday December 16, 2025, from 1:30 PM until 8:00 PM, and continue on Wednesday from 10:00 am until noon . A Graveside Services will be held Wednesday December 17, beginning at 12:30 PM at Hebron Cemetery. The family invites all who knew David to come together to celebrate his life and the memories he created with those he loved.
