Claude “C.L.” Lane 87, of Masonic Home departed from this life Monday, December 11, 2023.
C.L. was a man of principal, he was active in his community, with leadership skills and a winsome personality. He was called to active duty in the Army Reserve during the Berlin Crisis, he proudly served arm in arm with his fellow brothers. C.L. retired from LG&E in 1994 after 36 years of service. C.L. was a highly esteemed member of the Bullitt Lodge #155, the Scottish Rite 33rd degree, and York Rite Masons. He was an accomplished pianist and organist. He enjoyed a competitive golf match and laid-back days practicing his stroke. C.L. was well rounded, he left many memories and lessons with the lives he touched. His principles for greater living will forever be remembered.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Lane; his parents John and Edna Lane; along with his siblings Geneva and her husband Jim Amerine, Norma and her husband Henry “June” Hamilton, George and his wife Beverly Lane, Shirley and her husband Vincent Meiman.
C.L. is survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews, and many cherished friends.
Memorial Service will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Sweeney officiating.
Visitations will be on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Davidson Memorial Methodist Church, Bullitt Masonic Lodge, or the charity of their choice.
