Charles Thomas "Tommy" Dockery, cherished husband, loving father, adored grandfather, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on March 6, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on February 1, 1962, in Leitchfield, Kentucky, Tommy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family.
Tommy dedicated much of his working life to Monarch Hardware in Indianapolis, where he mastered the craft of locksmithing. He approached his work with diligence and integrity, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His commitment to his profession mirrored the values he held dear in his personal life.
Tommy was more than just a skilled craftsman; he was a man with a great sense of humor who brought joy to those around him. His love for his family was palpable, and he took immense pride in being a husband to Kimberly Dockery and a father to Crystal Moore and her husband Daniel of Louisville, as well as his two sons, Brett Wayne Thomas Dockery of Mount Washington and Bradley Charles Dockery and his fiancée Teresa, also of Mount Washington. He adored his grandchildren, Aliyah, Elijah, Benjamin, McKenzie, Dalton, Grace, Bella, and Annie, who brought immeasurable joy to his life and, in return, were showered with his unconditional love.
A passionate fan of Louisville Cardinal Basketball, Tommy could often be found cheering for his favorite team, sharing moments of camaraderie and excitement with his family and friends. His enthusiasm and energy were contagious, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, children, siblings Phillip, Howard, Wendell, Steven, and Stephanie, as well as his cherished grandchildren and several loving pets. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wendell and Betty Lou Dockery, whose legacy of love and kindness continues through Tommy's family.
A visitation will be held in his honor on March 9, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, KY. Following the visitation, a funeral service will start at 6:00 PM, celebrating the remarkable life and the deep love that Tommy shared with all.
Though he has departed from this world, Tommy's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of laughter, love, and compassion will continue to inspire those left behind, making the world a brighter place in his memory.
