Charles David Grimes

Charles David Grimes, 80 of Shepherdsville passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Charles was a United States Army Veteran. He was bestowed the honorable title of Kentucky Colonel for his outstanding service. Charles retired from Interlake where he worked as a machine operator, in his free time he enjoyed woodworking and time spent with his family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Orville Grimes and May Aubrey Grimes; his son Damon Workman; along with a brother Johnny Grimes.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Vickie Grimes; son Justin Grimes (Shannon) of Mt. Washington; adopted children Richard Mudd and Kristen Mudd; sisters Jo Ann Graham and Betty Sue Rogers both of Hardin County; grandchildren Brooklyn Grimes, and Waylon Grimes; adopted granddaughter Elizabeth Boston; his best friend Wince Rogers; along with many other family members and friends.
Graveside Service will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
