Cecil Christopher Kinder, Jr.

Cecil Christopher Kinder, Jr., a beloved member of the Mount Washington community and a dedicated employee of A&M Oil, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026 surrounded by his friends, at the age of 38. Born on April 7, 1987, in Louisville, Kentucky, Cecil was known for his big heart, generosity, and a passion for old cars and steam engines that fueled his spirit and brought joy to those around him.

Cecil’s love for mechanics and engines was more than a hobby—it was a defining part of his identity. His enthusiasm for working on old cars and especially steam engines reflected his dedication and skill, traits admired by friends and colleagues alike. Known for his memorable burn outs, Cecil’s presence was unforgettable, leaving behind stories and memories cherished by all who knew him.

For eighteen years, Cecil was a valued employee of A&M Oil in Mount Washington, where he forged strong friendships and demonstrated unwavering commitment. Among those who stood by him were Allan Stout, his good friend and employer throughout his career, and his caregiver and second mother, Whitney Aebersold, who provided steadfast support and care.

Cecil was fortunate to have special friends in Steve Rednour , Sonny and Penny Gollar, whose companionship meant a great deal to him. He was also embraced by an extended family who treated him as their brother: Joe, Jose, Shaggy, Misty, and Shelby. His nieces and nephews—Levy, Miley, and Hailley—held a special place in his heart, and the bonds he shared with them brought light to his life.

The community mourns the loss of Cecil Christopher Kinder, Jr., while remembering the warmth and kindness he generously shared. Though his parents, Nancy L. and Cecil C. Kinder, Sr., along with his uncles Randy Kinder and George Shaw, and aunt Connie Kinder, have passed on before him, his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him.

Cecil leaves behind a lasting imprint through his work, his passions, and the relationships he so deeply valued. His memory will endure in Mount Washington and beyond, a testament to a man with a big heart and a spirit that will not be forgotten.

Cremation was chosen there will be no service or visitation. Maraman-Billings Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
