Carol Ina Burkhead

Carol Ina Burkhead, born on July 20, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 74. Carol was a dedicated line worker at General Electric for an impressive 40 years, exemplifying steadfast commitment and work ethic throughout her career.

Carol was not only a hardworking professional but also a cherished family member and friend. She was a pillar of support, especially at her grandchildren's sports events, where her infectious laughter filled the stands. Her warm personality and ability to make everyone smile endeared her to those around her to those around her.

 Carol embraced life with a passion for adventure and hobbies. She treasured her time spent at the cabin on the lake, enjoying fishing and boating. An enthusiast of classic cars, she took joy in her beloved 58 Chevy and was a regular at car shows. Riding her Harley bike allowed her to blend her love for travel with the thrill of the open road.

In her personal life, Carol shared over 30 wonderful years with her significant other, Joseph Dean. She leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Michael "Mike" Mullins and his spouse Leslie, and a vibrant group of grandchildren: Alexxis Mullins, Lilli Mullins, Cory Mullins, David Lee Mullins III, Bradley Sanders, Darren Mullins, Brianna Mullins, Austin, and Rickey Rowland. She was also excited to welcome her first great-grandson who will soon join her seven great-granddaughters.

Carol is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Beatrice Warren; her father, William Zable; her children, David Lee Mullins, Jr. and Martha Beatrice Rowland; and her brothers, Thomas, William, and Lary Zable. Additionally, her cherished grandchild, Ronnie Rowland, all of whom will be lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held on December 27, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, December 27, 2025, 4pm at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Veatch officiating. 

Carol Burkhead's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her kindness, laughter, and unwavering support. She will be deeply missed.
