Arlene Sue Jacobs-Allen passed away on October 2, 2026, at Norton Health Hospice Inpatient, with her loved ones by her side. She was born on September 27, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and the cherished matriarch of her family.
Arlene was a proud licensed practical nurse and a true caregiver, full of compassion. She served as an LPN at Franciscan Health for more than 22 years, offering comfort and care to countless people through her work. Her giving nature extended far beyond her profession and was reflected in the way she lived each day.
Family was the center of Arlene’s life. She loved her family more than anything and devoted herself fully to them. She found great joy in hosting large family gatherings, where a meal was always shared, laughter filled the room, and memories were made to last a lifetime. Selfless and loving, she cared deeply for those around her and created a home and family life marked by warmth and togetherness.
She also found happiness in the simple things she loved most. Arlene loved animals and nature, especially cats, dogs, and hummingbirds. She enjoyed baking sweets and decadent desserts for those she loved. She took pride in her truck and kept it clean and ready to show. These everyday pleasures reflected her spirit: thoughtful, caring, and full of pride in the things and people she treasured.
In May of 1994, Arlene married Evan Allen, and together they shared 32 years of life, love, and partnership. Their marriage was an important and enduring part of her life, and she leaves behind a family shaped by her steadfast love and presence.
She is survived by her husband, Evan Allen; her daughters, Angie Inabnit and her husband Jeff, Heather Leigh and her husband Jason, along with the grandchildren that she raised as her own Brandon Cisneros and his wife Olivia, Nathaniel Cisneros and his wife Leann, and Jasmine Cisneros; her grandchildren, Larry Herman and Brian, Jacob Edmonds and Abby, Amber Wilson and Jordan, and Leticia Reinhardt-Marin; and her great-grandchildren, Leo, Gage, King, Lucas, Elias, Josie, Addy, Legend, Kazmir, Luka, Ashton, Christian, and Carlie. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald William Jacobs and his wife Pamela; her twin sister, Darlene Jacobs Hazzard; her brother, Michael Wayne Jacobs and his wife Sheila; her sister, Patricia Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will carry her memory forward with love.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Reinhardt, and by her parents, Aline Cunningham-Jacobs and William Jacobs.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, 605 Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165.
