Anita’s life, marked by warmth, intellect, and steadfast devotion to those she loved, leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Anita Marie Biggs Ciaburri, beloved wife, mother , stepmother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 68. Anita’s life, marked by warmth, intellect, and steadfast devotion to those she loved, leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on January 17, 1958, Anita grew up surrounded by the love of her parents, John E. Biggs and Elwanda Biggs, both of whom predeceased her and whose memory she deeply cherished. From an early age, Anita dedicated herself to lifelong learning, a journey that culminated in the attainment of a master’s degree—a reflection of her commitment to academic achievement and personal growth.
She retired from Whelan Machine and Tool , she loved nature especially her horses, dogs and the many birds she fed.
Anita’s life was enriched by the relationships she nurtured with family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred Ciaburri, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges. She leaves her loving daughter to cherish her memory, Malinda Carl (John Jones) Anita embraced her role as stepmother with open arms, providing guidance, love, and unwavering support to her stepchildren: Brian Ciaburri, Jennifer Lawrence (Carl). She also shared a close bond with her brother, Terry Biggs, whose presence in her life was a constant source of strength and companionship. She leaves her 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to mourn her passing.
Friends and loved ones are invited to honor Anita’s memory at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, 605 Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Thursday, August 6 at 12:30 PM. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Lane, Mount Washington, KY 40047, beginning at 2:00 PM.
