Silas Rondal Toby

September 4, 1938 - February 22, 2022

Silas Rondal Toby, 83 of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, surrounded by his family. Ron was born and raised in Harlan County, Kentucky, and was very proud of his heritage. He committed his life to Christ at the age of 21 and faithfully served his Lord for over 62 years. He founded Toby Tours and successfully contributed to the transportation industry for over 25 years. He lived a life of service to his family, community, church, friends and enjoyed blessing others. Ron was loved by, and will be missed by, all who know him. He was preceded in death by his parents Alva and Ethel Toby, and his siblings Ray, Terry, Tommy, Kenneth, and Jacqueline Toby. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 61 years, Nancy; his children Jeff Toby (Karen), Jerry Toby, Sherri, Rebecca LeClair (Steve) and David Layne (Shannon); his brothers Don, Denny and Philip Toby; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; he leaves a legacy behind that has made him proud. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Evangel World Prayer Center on Billtown Road. A private family burial will follow. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
