Machala Allis Defoor-Shipp 34, of Louisville passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024.
A native of Danville, Arkansas, Machala graduated with honors from Pottsville High in 2008. She continued her studies at Arkansas Tech University and Sullivan University. She was bright and quick-witted with boundless potential. She was a spiritual person, with a big heart and larger than life persona. She loved intensely, she cherished being a wife and mother, she was a loyal friend. Machala was strong willed, confident and spunky. Machala was a star, whose vibrant light burned bright. It is a sad truth that those who shine brightest often burn fastest. May the light of her memory forever lead your path.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jamie Defoor.
Machala is survived by her husband Justin Shipp, Sr., children Justin Shipp, Jr. and Jayme Shipp; mother Kim Nesbit of Louisville, her father Mark Defoor and his wife Keri of AR; and sister Sarah Defoor of AR; along with additional family members and numerous friends.
The family has chosen to return to Machala to Arkansas where she will be laid to rest. Arrangements in Arkansas are being handled by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle, AR.
